2001 DXpedition to Cedar Key Lighthouseat Seahorse Key

This, what we like to call it, Mini DXpedition. The reason for calling it that is, you go on a DXpedition
just a few miles from your home. In my case just a little over a hour driving time and a 30 minute boat ride in the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. No
passport need. This event occurred during the 2001 Cedar Key Seafood Festival Weekend October 20-21. Operated for 24 hours and 1069 QSO's / WAS on 10-40 meters.
We enjoyed teaming up with our host, the ---> Cedar Key National
Wildlife Refuge the--->University of Florida Seahorse Key Marine Laboratory
the ---> Florida Lighthouse Association
and --->
the Friends and Volunteers of Refuges FAVOR to help promote awareness and understanding of the enduring
and valuable resources that the National Wildlife Refuges provide for our natural heritage."
