All items below have click-able links, please review and participate in all
GARS activities if possible. Bring a friend, bring a neighbor, bring a
youth that might be interested in science or electronics, all are welcome.
GARS regular meetings are held on the Third Wednesday of each month (except December) at 6:30 pm local time at the AvMed Building, Health Care Park, 4300 NW 89th Blvd, Gainesville, FL.
Talk-in is on 146.820(-) MHz (Tone 123.0). Please check the repeater periodically for an
announcement, as the location or time might change. All interested in Amateur Radio communications are welcome to attend the meetings.
GARS Executive Board meetings are generally held on the First Thursday of the month.
THe month of July will change due to the July 3 being on a holiday week.
The new date will be meeting will be on the
July 10th, at
7PM. These locations are subject to change and will be announced 3 to 4 weeks prior
to the meeting date. The Current location is: David
( WB9UYK) Birge's House - 8015 SW 51st BLVD in the Stillwater Subdivision Click on link to see a map of
location. The time of the meeting will be 7:00 PM (Depending upon
your internet provider this map may work)
All club members are invited to attend the meeting and participate in the discussion!

- New Location QCWA Meets 4th Monday of every month now at Piccadilly on NW 13th Street at 6 PM
- Listen on the 146.820 repeater Friday AM for the Friday's Lunch Bunch meeting place.

Testing - Upgrading - Licensing
Local hams have formed a ARRL VE team that host monthly ham radio
license examinations on either the 1st or 2nd Saturdays of most
dates vary depending on holiday weekends, Volunteer Examiner
availability, Gator football, etc.
